Soft Tissue Tightness
Symptoms:
- Scar pain/tightness from surgery
- Episiotomy pain
Causes:
Following surgery, scar tissue forms to help heal the wound. Sometimes scar tissue formation can be excessive, extending into the surrounding tissues and causing abnormal tightness or restriction of movement. Scar tissue can form on any layer of tissue that was cut or manipulated during surgery. Scar tissue massage and release can assist in breaking down the abnormal or excessive formation of scar tissue.
